Heartland Robotics is seeking a Product Manager to help us implement our vision of teachable and sentient robots. This position will report to the Director of Product Management

Major Responsibilities:

• Serve as the company product expert and evangelist
• Work with an interdisciplinary team of designers, marketers, business development professionals and engineers to implement and maintain processes for product design, development and product release
• Coordinate the collection, description, analysis and prioritization of requests for new product functionality from customers, prospects and internal constituencies
• Create detailed use cases, business requirements, and marketing requirements
• Work with engineering and design teams to develop actionable product requirements
• Develop functional requirements and user stories to drive engineering development
• Serve as product owner in an agile software development environment
• Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses
• Coordinate beta testing of new products and features. Document and report problems and recommend solutions/improvements. Participate in product performance benchmarking activities
• Support marketing, sales and support through leading the development and maintenance of various technical marketing collateral including application notes, FAQs, product notes, user guides, field training presentations, online marketing content and demos
• Contribute to product strategy and roadmap definition and management
• Support the development of core positioning and messaging for the product
• Support the creation of market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and prospects

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or computer science discipline, or comparable industry experience in a technical role
• At least 5 years of product management experience for a software and/or industrial hardware product
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent team player with demonstrable experience working in cross-functional teams comprising design, engineering, marketing and sales
• Experience with software development processes is required; agile experience is highly desirable
• This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Europe (25%)
